The plan was a go. What might have been the trickiest part of the plan did not come to fruition because Cuthbert and Nicholson chose the location well. Cuthbert and Nicholson got on the phone and reached out to their Petersburg contacts.
Without hesitation, both couples were on board! Within days the bulk of the money had been raised.
Now, for a date to start painting? After many meetings, spearheaded by Cuthbert, the date was set for May Local contractor Melvyn Davies generously provided the lift. All Lively had to do was show up with paint and brushes and put paint on the wall. While Lively's assistant Andie Palmer rolled a turquoise skyline, I asked her how many murals she has taken part in.
