Sort order. Aug 28, Brandy Roberts rated it really liked it. I thought Road to freedom was really good it would be one I was excited to get my hands on and to see what was going to happen between these characters. This can be read as a standalone you can also get Road to Grace it's about the heroes sister and then Road to Peace shares a little bit of of his history as a young boy so I'd recommend Peace before Grace.
Over all this was a good story with likable characters and to see some slimier faces can't wait to see what's next for the Dogs of fire.

I was all over the spectrum with this book. My emotions couldn't be contained, and I never knew what was coming next. The author filled this book with equal parts angst and humor. I would just get through a part that had me crying my eyes out, and then she'd have me laughing through the tears.
It was wonderful! Finch is just a guy He and his family went through things no child should even know about, m This was a beautiful story, full of laughter and tears. He and his family went through things no child should even know about, much less experience. Don't get me wrong, there were some very good parts, but the bad parts were really bad.
And they overshadowed the good parts to the extent that he still hasn't moved past them. He is one of those guys that wants to protect everyone around him, and part of that is holding in all of those emotions to avoid spewing it all over those that it would hurt, to the detriment of himself.
Road to freedom
It has molded him into the man that he is, which is amazing, for the most part. Remington is just freaking hilarious! There is no other way to describe her.
Her personality shines through with every interaction, and she seems to be the kind of girl that would be everyone's best friend. The life of the party. But underneath her humor, her liveliness, hides a little girl whose childhood, and even adult years have sucked!
It seems that every choice she makes, every time she turns a corner, something bad happens, each time worse than the next. Until Finch. He seems to be everything she needs and wants in her life, but she is scared to take the leap, to trust that he isn't out to hurt her too.
This book is both riotously funny, and wretchedly sorrowful at times. A man with a horrific past, and a woman whose present doesn't look to be getting any better come together, even when it looks like nothing they do will keep them together. There was so much going on in this story, so many questions that kept poking at my brain throughout the entirety of the story. I couldn't help but keep reading until the end. There was something about it that just wouldn't let me put it down.
I loved Finch, and Remington, and I loved them together. Their interactions were what makes for a good relationship, being able to laugh together, and that makes for a solid, fun, amazing story! Of course, Finch had some convincing to do… And those conversations were laced with hilarity as Rem hid behind humour to try to keep Finch at bay.
T Fun, steamy romance Their banter and sexy back and forth added a lightheartedness to it that was a switch from some of the emotional powder kegs earlier in the series. And, of course, Flirt was able finch flex his protective muscles in only the way the Dogs of Fire can do… Filled with old friends and some old enemies, this was a one-sitting read that I should have read Davenport - so I could savour it more! Aug 19, Carrie rated it it was amazing. They're also suuuuuper steamy! I don't think that I will ever get tired of this series. Every story just gets you more and more hooked from start to finish. Finch, oh man another character that I just wanted to hug and take away all of his pain. But from this pain he experienced and that he is keeping all inside, now he is someone that just wants to care and protect everyone around him. Remington, oh my word, what a hilarious character she was.
But now she has someone that I don't think that I will ever get tired of this series. But now she has someone that makes it all better, someone that takes away her pain. But can she trust this new feelings, can she trust that he is one that will be there, the one that wont hurt her but also the one that will love her. I love these two characters together.
Even though they went through so much in their lives they are the ones that took away each other's pain. This story was funny, but sad and heartbreaking and steamy sex scenes, but also so much more than what you would think it is. I loved reading about the characters and catching up with all their lives.
