I Warned You. Thank me later. I worked in the office for Amada Senior Care. Office prospects, do not take this position. I warned you. You will know immediately what I mean after you accept your position. Caregivers, do not work for this company. If you call out, the Senior Scheduler is already looking for your replacement, and the HR employee is salivating to fire you.
Pros Hours. Cons The Owner and Senior Scheduler. Although the work we do is challenging at times, having the support of the owners, the HR guy, and the schedulers makes every day like working for family! The owners are the most down to earth people but when push comes to shove, they will have your back at all costs.
Pros Flexible work schedule, comradeship. Cons Stress of the on-call phone. This company was a great company to work for. The management was awesome, and very understanding. I was able to balance out my work and home life very easily. This was an in home health job. I lived my client but I got fired when my car had broke down and I was not able to make it in to work.

You can potentially make your own schedule. There is always opportunities for overtime or more work. This company pays more than a lot of caregiving companies here in Tn. Amada is very accommodating to my schedule needs and gives training when and where needed, they are always available with any questions or needs I may have, the office staff tries to match me to clients that will work for me and them and the staff is always pleasant to work with.
Feel valued! Great place to work! I have worked for several other home care companies and I have never felt so valued! Great communication from the office- Love it!

Management are very caring and flexible with my scheduling needs. Always available to assist when needed and notify with sufficient time when changes are made. Amada has the best clients to work for. They are all really great. I love working with the seniors of this company.

Help us improve! Seniors in need. I appreciate the caregiver training on line which refresh our memory to conduct proper procedures. I enjoy working with each client Murfreesboro have. I really enjoy the hours I work and the best part I can request days off without a hassle. I have to give it to management which is not easy to match clients with caregivers. Dating best part of the job for me is two fold, obviously first are the clients, caring for our elderly is a privilege and it is the least we can do for the generation that raised us.
Secondly, as a care giver I can give my best because I know if I need anything all I have to mature is call the office. If I am worried about the client, or have a care issue, or a health concern and feel the need for additional support, that help and support is a phone call away. I have the same client 4 days a week and have for about a year. Routine is comforting for her, so we do things at the same time and in the same way every day. I let myself in around and check to see if she's up or sleeping in.
Reviews she's dressed, with very little help from me, she'll sit in the kitchen while I fix her coffee and cook her breakfast. We chat about anything that might be news since I last left, and what she has on her agenda for the day. While she eats, I straighten up the kitchen, make the bed and start a load of laundry, if needed. Then we sit and have a cup of coffee.

I try and keep her busy until I'll encourage her to walk around her house or show me her plants or quilts. Sometimes we will play a game of cards or work on a word puzzle.
Lately, most days she just doesn't have the energy for more than walking from the dining room to her chair in the living room. So we sit and we talk. She tells the most amazing stories from her 94 years. Around 11 she's falling asleep in her chair and I let - more Loving being a caregiver. The best part of this job is making a client's day better. You get to help them in ways they can't help themselves. The hardest part is when they get worse or pass away. They become more than clients they become family.

The work environment was hostile, disrespectful, and micromanaged, when they were short caregivers I was sent to clients home to care for them with no experience or certifications in Nursing.
